IOM Technical Standard: CCTV

• Network Segregation will be used for CCTV
  • By default the CCTV network deployment will be standalone with no external connectivity
  • Access between CCTV sites will be restricted
  • Access between CCTV and Government networks will be through a firewall where it must be logged and retained for auditing

• Cameras should be IP not analogue.

• Support contract in place for maintaining software levels and critical security updates.

• If a system holds Personally Identifiable Information (PII) it must be maintained in order that it complies with the principles of the GDPR.

• A lifecycle plan should be in determined to ensure devices are replaced before manufacture support ceases and software and security updates are no longer provided.

Excluded Hardware Manufacturers

The following Hardware manufactures or rebadged/rebranded products will not be considered for installation at Government maintained sites:

• HikVision
• Dahua
• Huawei
