IOM Technical Standard: Remote Access
Remote Access to Isle of Man Government systems is available through the following 3 methods:
- Remote Access through a web portal. This allows users to connect to a Windows Terminal Server farm from non-Government owned devices.
- Virtual Private Network (VPN) access using a Corporate Laptop. This offers the same access as being connected to the network.
- VPN access using a Corporate Mobile device. This allows specific mobile applications access to IOMG infrastructure where required. User can also use RDP to connect back to their Desktop PC where authorised (tablets only).
Terminal Server Access. This allows users to connect to the IOM Government Windows Terminal Server Farm from non-government owned devices connecting from within the Isle of Man.
