IOMG Technical Standard: Consumer Software as a Service
- This includes consumer level online software, either free to register or paid plans. Examples include, but not restricted to, online form/survey software, bulk email solutions, social media management tools and graphics/presentation tools.
- Software as a Service purchases must comply with FPN C.05, Section 10 (Procurement and GTS Standards) of the TCoP and to the standards outlined in End User Sourced Software.
- Any cloud hosted software and/or data storage must comply with Section 4 (The Cloud) of the TCoP
- To comply with Section 7 (Data Protection and Privacy) of TCoP, specifically Privacy by Design, all software purchased must ensure that users require separate authentication to access data and functionality, not shared login details.
- Any software purchased must have the capability to manage changes in a way that does not immediately update live or published forms.
- All data collected by these services must comply with the GDPR
